Millions Recovered For Injured People

Fatal workplace accident kills Connecticut landscaper

Connecticut workers who are employed in physical jobs with heavy equipment must make certain they take every precaution and ensure that they and others are safe as they go about their duties. This is especially true when there are different companies working on the same project. Accidents can lead to severe injuries and death. When there is a fatal workplace accident, the victim's family will have a right to answers as to how and why it happened. They will also have the right to seek compensation in a wrongful death legal filing for lost wages, pain and suffering and more.

A man working as a landscaper at a business complex died after suffering head injuries when he was hit by a plow that was clearing snow. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is inspecting both the landscaping company and the company that was plowing the snow to determine if there were any issues with safety precautions and other requirements. The pharmaceutical company that is located at the complex is also cooperating with the OSHA investigation. Neither of the companies doing the work commented on the incident as the investigation commences.

For people who have lost a loved one in a fatal workplace accident, the initial shock and need to plan for a funeral can be an emotional time that will have a lasting effect on their lives. Once the reality settles in that their loved one died while on the job, there will be other issues that will come to the forefront including lost wages, lost companionship and more. While they might not immediately consider a legal filing, it is imperative to understand the importance of legal assistance to look out for their interests as the investigation moves forward and the circumstances of the incident are determined.

In an incident that combined two different companies working at the same location, a landscaper was hit by a plow as it cleared snow. OSHA is investigating the case, but the man's family must protect its interests by having legal help. A lawyer experienced in fatal workplace accidents can help.
