Connecticut suffered 36 pedestrian fatalities by all causes in 2012, according to the NHTSA. The NHTSA also found that drunk driving accidents caused 85 deaths in the state for that year.

Wallingford pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident


According to a witness, a car that came out of nowhere struck and killed a 49-year-old Wallingford man who was crossing a road in New Haven on June 24. The motorist fled from the scene of the accident.
